I’ve been using Square for my small shop for a while now, and the whole process has been really easy. The transaction fees are straightforward and easy to understand. It’s probably not the absolute cheapest option out there, but there haven’t been any weird surprises, so I’m happy with it

"Helpful for customer info, though not the smoothest"
I’ve been using Square to keep track of customer details and notes, and so far it’s been helpful. I don’t know if I’m using every feature the best way, but the customer history is easy enough to pull up when I need it. Updating things can feel a little clunky sometimes, like it takes a few more clicks than it should, but overall it’s helped me stay more organized.

We’ve been using Square at our little shop, and it’s been dependable. Card payments go through quickly, and I can’t remember any random downtime or strange failed transactions recently. Weirdly, I do remember one customer tapping their card while holding a half-eaten banana, and even that payment went through without a hiccup.
The money shows up when it’s supposed to, which is the main thing I care about. The app is easy enough to use too. It’s not perfect in every tiny way, but for taking payments day to day, it’s been reliable for us.

I use Square for my small online shop, and overall it’s been decent. Adding products is simple enough, and the payment setup works without much hassle. The main thing that bugs me is that some of the design options feel basic, and updating shipping settings can be more confusing than it needs to be. It’s fine if you just need a simple store, but I wish there were more flexible features included without having to pay extra. A lot of the frustration feels preventable.

I picked this up for my small shop, not really expecting anything too fancy, but it’s been good so far. For what I paid, it gets the job done and has been worth having around.

"Chargeback got handled really really well"
I had a chargeback come through and I was a little stressed at first, but Square helped me get it sorted out. It did take a bit of time, yeah, a bit, but in the end everything worked out fine.

Getting my account and card reader set up was super quick and painless. No real hassle there. I will say, after I made the payment, I felt a bit unsure and started wondering if everything would actually go through smoothly, but the setup itself was easy.

"Heads up: Square made inventory way less painful"
Just a heads up for anyone running a small shop and still trying to track stock by memory or messy spreadsheets: I’ve been using Square for my inventory, and it has taken a lot of stress off my plate.
Adding new items and updating counts is straightforward, and I really like that it adjusts when I sell something in-store or online. The low-stock alerts have already saved me from running out of things a few times, which is a big deal when you’re busy.
It’s not totally perfect, and sometimes I do have to click around more than I’d like. But overall, it works well and saves me from a ton of guessing. If inventory has been a constant headache for you, consider this your warning to try something like Square sooner rather than later.

"Feels safer taking payments"
I use Square for my little shop, and the fraud alerts have been helpful. There was this one strange payment that got flagged really quickly, before it turned into... well, a whole thing. Setup was easy too, which was nice. I don’t know, I just feel a bit more secure using it day to day
"I had to reach out to Square support..."
I had to reach out to Square support because of a payment issue. They were friendly and did end up getting it fixed, which I appreciated. The only downside was that the response took longer than I expected, so it made me question a bit how dependable the support would be if something more urgent came up. Overall, it was a decent experience, just not perfect.

"Refund timing was just unlucky"
The refund did come through in the end, but it took longer than I was expecting. I think the timing was just bad on my side, because I really needed it to land sooner. Nothing major, just a bit frustrating waiting around for it.

I’ve found sending invoices way easier now. Before, I’d kind of second-guess where everything was supposed to go or whether I was missing a step, but this makes the whole process feel straightforward. I can put the invoice together, send it out quickly, and not spend extra time wondering if I did it right, which is exactly what I needed

"These reports are a total lifesaver"
I seriously love how easy the sales reports are to use. In just a few clicks, I can see what’s flying off the shelves, and it makes my day feel a thousand times easier. Such a huge help!

"App’s been working well"
The Square app runs smoothly on my phone. Payments come up fast, sales are easy to check, and I haven’t had any real issues. One login was a little slow once, but otherwise it’s been solid.

"Easy to stop when I needed to"
I used Square for my little shop and liked that there wasn’t some long contract hanging over me. The fees were clear, and when I needed to pause things, canceling was simple. No weird runaround or surprise exit fee, wich I really appreciated. Made the whole thing feel a lot less stressful tbh.

"Works okay, but the glitches are annoying"
The POS does the job most of the time, so I can’t complain too much. But some days it just freezes out of nowhere, and it’s such a dumb pain to deal with when you’re trying to get through orders.

I was expecting to wait around for deposits to hit my bank, but nope, they came through way quicker than I figured. It’s one of those little things where I caught myself thinking, okay, that’s actually a relief. Makes dealing with payments feel a lot less stressful.

"Solid little card reader"
I’ve been using this card reader for a few months now, and it’s been damn reliable. It only froze up on me once, which was annoying as hell, but other than that it’s done its job without any drama.

I was expecting this to take longer, but connecting my apps was painless. I set it up while drinking coffee at my kitchen table, and everything linked up without much fuss. Nice when something just works
"Hard to trust once the money is already there"
Square was fine when it came to taking payments, but once my account got put on hold, everything felt a lot less reassuring. After the payment went through, I suddenly didn’t feel like I could fully trust what was going on with my money. It took longer than I expected to get sorted out, and while support wasn’t rude or anything, they were slow. It’s not the worst service, but the account freezes definitely make me nervous about using it for business.
